The spirit of sport gives each of us who participate an opportunity to be creative.Sport knows no sex, age, race or religion.Sport gives us the ability to test ourselves mentally, physically and emotionally in a way that no other aspect of life can.For many of us who struggle with "fitting in" or our identity, sport gives us our first face of confidence.That first taste of confidence can be a gateway to many other great things in life!!
To be a successful coach you should be and look prepared. You must be a person of integrity.Never break your word. Dont have two sets of standards.Remember, you dont handle divers, you handle pets.You deal with divers. Stand up for your divers.Show them you care - in and out of the pool. Very important - its not how or what you say, but what they absorb.
